One of the most interesting aspects of sailing is learning all about weather conditions and forecast. When you are at the mercy of all the forces of nature this is essential. Normally we’re sitting in the house or at least have a rescuing shelter nearby when the wheater becomes severe. I don’t know yet how I manage such situations on open water. But experience and knowledge will help me to deal with it.
