June 8, 2025After a tricky docking in stronger winds than expected, we’re now safely tied to a small floating pontoon on the island of Selja.
Just above us lie the ruins of Selje Abbey — a Benedictine monastery founded in the 11th century. According to legend, this was the refuge of Saint Sunniva, a medieval Irish princess who fled persecution and found sanctuary here.
